This site will help make you a better cook, an adept gardener, and good-looking. Also, I'm not from or in Tuscany, and I'm a man.
When I can figure out how to get a list of the other posts in this category here, it will be. For now, just some pictures. =)
Where has the time been going. Almost 2 weeks! Well, strike the last week and half out to sickness on my part and the part of the girls. I’ve been cooking just on maintenance mode, no experiments, nothing to extravagant, lots of comfort food. Luckily I didn’t kill my sourdough starter and I’m hoping to whip it into some pizza this week.
The winter garden is thriving. I’m having issues keeping my rapini from bolting, but my Tuscan Kale is looking amazing, the Chard is doing well, the citrus trees are setting fruit, and of course the radishes look great. Also, the Early Wonder beets are doing very well on the roof. My tomato and pepper seeds are slowly starting to germinate, and I planted some yard-long beans and early pole beans today. I’m hoping to train the beans across the joists over our patio to make a little shade and provide fresh beans hanging down safe from the birds.
I’ve also got some big writing news in the hopper, I’ll let it spill as soon as I have some more to show for it. Also I’ve been doing some non-food writing over at my other site. It will be more Mac tech stuff, and other off-topic things that I need to get out sometimes.
