This site will help make you a better cook, an adept gardener, and good-looking. Also, I'm not from or in Tuscany, and I'm a man.
When I can figure out how to get a list of the other posts in this category here, it will be. For now, just some pictures. =)
Here’s a shot of a couple of my happiest pots right now. The one on the left is radishes on the sides, and spinach in the middle. The one on the left is just spinach. The radishes are black spanish and watermelon, and the spinach is the “Oriental Giant” Japanese hybrid from Renee’s Garden. These are both looking good and I can’t wait to taste those radishes. I love radishes, well, homegrown ones anyway. The flavor is outstanding, and they grow so quickly.
Today the Princess and I went to go get the new iLife ‘06, and stopped by the nursery to get some potting soil. Of course, we swung by the seed racks, and grabbed a few. I’m most excited about the San Marzano tomatoes for this year, and I grabbed a cucumber for some pickling. On the radish note I grabbed “Crimson Giant” which claims radishes the size of an apple without a loss in texture. Should be exciting. I also got some Rustic Arugula, some Poblano chiles, and the Princess wanted the “Rosa Bianca” eggplant. Some stuff to get started, I can’t wait for some fresh cukes to pickle.
